How it works

Sessions are usually one hour on Skype or Zoom, or can be face to face depending on location. My practice is on the Essex/Suffolk border. My fees are on a sliding scale for self-funding individuals, based on ability to pay.

You can decide at the outset how often you would like us to meet and how frequently, or get in touch as and when issues arise. These sessions are for you and are intended to help you move forward with your writing project, therefore you set the agenda and pace.

Everything we discuss is confidential and no one will know that you are working with me unless you choose to tell them.

Testimonials

Julia helped me think about why I wanted to write my life story and who the story was for. I realised I wanted to sort the events out in my head and come to terms with my past. She helped me to explore the events that had happened to me and find ways to deal with the pain. I might still write the book but with a different perspective and greater insight.

Memoir writer

I was overwhelmed by my ideas which caused a creative block as I didn't know where to start.  Julia suggested I use different notebooks for different themes and it's been invaluable to dip in and out of my ideas like this. She also encouraged me to have fun with my thoughts and styles which has had a very positive effect on my writing.
