Senior professionals often describe a sense of isolation and can lack a sounding board to share ideas and concerns. As a leader you are expected to stay up-to-date on best practice, develop the professional skills of your team and provide breadth/depth of know-how. It is not surprising little time gets made for your own personal development.
Coaching and work-based counselling can help you be the leader you want to be.

How it works

Coaching for executives and managers is usually initiated or commissioned via HR and typically starts with 4 to 6 sessions over a six month period. All work is confidential and nothing will be shared with HR or line management unless expressly agreed with you.

Sessions are typically 90 minutes to two hours and can be via Zoom/Skype or face to face depending on location. There will usually be an initial ‘chemistry’ meeting to ensure we feel comfortable to work together. This enables questions to be answered and an initial exploration of the issues you would like to address in coaching.

If appropriate, I can provide access to psychometric tools or we can conduct 360 assessment with colleagues and team members. Results and feedback would be discussed in coaching and implications for action agreed.

The coaching agenda may be agreed with HR or a line manager but each session is tailored around your needs and agenda and remains confidential.

Testimonials

Julia has been coaching me in my professional life for around 2 years now and has helped me to confidently face challenges that would have been overwhelming without her insight. Julia has the extraordinary ability to grasp the heart of the issue and, by skillful questioning, guide me to finding the way forward that is true to my values.  During the time I have worked with Julia, she has really got to know who I am, where my strengths are and how to develop my weaker areas. She is an attentive listener who gives me moral support, offers different perspectives and has a wealth of great follow- up reading if I need it.  I always look forward to and value my sessions with Julia.

Head of Arts Faculty

It was great to see you last week and thank you for both the quality of our conversation but also for the follow up email - I have read it multiple times and each time had a boost from reading it.  You have no idea how much of an impact our discussions had on me -  for the first time in a long while I was able to make some sense of what has been going on.

International Ops Director

Working with Julia over the last couple of years has really helped me develop insight into human behaviour, see situations from different perspectives, understand how to work more constructively with others, and avoid and reduce stress at work. As a fairly introverted person, this support has been incredibly valuable.

Head of Performing Arts

Julia’s credentials as a business professional experienced in the corporate world along with her coaching, therapeutic and business psychology background gave me great confidence in her ability to understand some of the challenges HR leaders face. Her facility in providing the right coaching support and practical tools at the right time has been exceptional and I have learnt a lot through our work together.
